The Woodland Trust and Ecoprints.co.uk
The Woodland Trust (WT) is the UK’s leading
woodland conservation charity. The Trust has four key aims:
Established in 1972, the WT now cares for over 1,000
sites situated throughout the UK, covering approximately 20,000 hectares
(50,000 acres) and on average plants 500,000 native trees per year.
The Head Office is based in Grantham and is supported by offices in
Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. All our woods are freely open
to the public. It is estimated that over 12 million visits are made
to our woods each year and in excess of 300,000 people are members and
supporters of the Trust. It is an increasingly important aspect of the
Trust’s work to engage people in our activities.
The natural environment is under threat not only
from external factors such as climate change and construction but also
from a lack of understanding and appreciation especially by the younger
generations. The WT has to do more than simply create and protect woodland
- it must motivate society to care for it too...
... and this is where we come in. From each sale
from our website and other sales channels, we donate a minimum of 10%
to the Woodlands Trust
